The valve shall be fitted with a climate-independent gear actuator with a handwheel for indoor or outdoor use, and a raised position indicator and two built-in monitoring switches. The valve body is made of ductile iron conforming to American Society for Testing and Materials ASTM A 395 or A 536, and the stem is made of 400 series stainless steel. The valve connection is a flat (clip) type that can be used to mount a connection between a 125/150 lb. flange or IPS tube. Such valves should be UL listed, FM certified, and comply with the American Society of Valves and Fittings Manufacturers Standardization Association MSS-SP67.
